A coastal storm comes near Southern New England around next Monday. So far, the models have been trending toward minimal to no impacts as the storm steers away from the region.

- Watching the piece of energy over Florida that should organize off the SE coast in the next couple days. Whether it will be tropical in nature is yet to be determined.

EARTHQUAKES
- A major M7.7 earthquake shook Pakistan yesterday with a shallow depth of 20km. The earthquake has killed hundreds of people and destroyed mud houses there. Aftershocks have occurred, with the strongest in the 5-point range. What was incredible was that a new island formed from the earthquake in the Arabian Sea. Rarely does an earthquake make a dramatic change to the Earth's surface and there were people who witnessed the sight. SPACE WEATHER
- The sun is on the quiet side in terms of solar flares but at least some signs of activity when a filament blasted away in the northeast quadrant sending a CME out to space. It is directed away from Earth.
- M-class flare chances stand at 5% in the next 24 hours.
