Another cool start to the day, but turning warmer than yesterday into the 70s by the afternoon.

ATLANTIC TROPICS
- High chances of development in the Yucatan Peninsula. This has been a hotspot for formation all season. NHC gives chances at 70% in the next 48 hours.
- Tropical Storm Humberto in the northern Atlantic moving out to sea.

NATIONAL WEATHER
- Nice weather in the Northwest with high pressure overhead
- Generally fair weather for the Southeast with exception of storms in Florida and the Tennessee Valley
- Hot in the South and the Midwest
- Chance of strong to severe storms in the Mountain West and the Northern Plains today
- Drier conditions for the Northwest
WORLD WEATHER
- Tropical Storm Usagi in the Western Pacific is one to watch with expectations of strengthening and on course to impact Taiwan as a strong typhoon.
- A tropical depression along the coast of central Vietnam drenching the nation.
- Manuel still being classified as a depression as he meanders in the Baja Mexico Peninsula
- Storms in much of continental Europe from several low pressure systems
- Same story with most showers staying in Southeast Australia
EARTHQUAKES
- There were no earthquakes rated at or above M6 yesterday or so far today.
SPACE WEATHER
- The sun is alive finally when a C3.9 solar flare blasted from the newcomer Sunspot 1846 on the sun's eastern limb. More sunspot regions have been numbered as well. Things may be picking up... we'll have to see. M-class flare chances, though, remains at 1%.
